"Santon" UNESCO labelisation...
The "Santons" int'l fair, next December, will be the starting-point of the long process to label the "Santon" as Intangible Heritage of Humanity, by the UNESCO.
A pretty long and tough file I'm in charge of...
The goal of this long process is to protect and to develop this artcraft-tradition and to settle it, not only in the Past but in the Future.
The local production of "santons" deals with 3 types of clay-figurines:
- dressed santons
- painted santons
- the new-generation santons.
